The Walthamstow Calendar 2019 and Original Watercolours by Emma Scutt
Calendar Launch: Friday 2nd November 2018 6.00pm-8.30pm
Exhibition runs till 22nd December
Open Tuesday – Saturday 10am-6pm
The Walthamstow Calendar started in November 2013 when Walthamstow artist Emma Scutt illustrated and produced her first calendar for a Christmas charity craft fair.
It was so popular that Emma has painted twelve new Walthamstow images every year and made a calendar from these. She has built up quite a fan base over the years and residents are looking forward to the latest one, her sixth, which she is launching this year with an accompanying exhibition at E17 Art House on Hoe Street. Emma, who graduated with a degree in Illustration in 1992 at Norwich School of Art and has shown her work in many venues over the years including the House of Commons, will be showing her original water colour images as well as prints from previous years’ calendars.
The hotly anticipated Walthamstow Calendar 2019 will be launched at E17 Art House on Friday 2nd November 6.00-8.30pm and Emma’s work will be up in the gallery until 22nd of December. Come and meet the artist on the Friday night and have a glass of wine or get your calendar afterwards – but be quick, they are limited to 400 copies, each one numbered and signed by the artist herself!
